Science Friction: Where sci-fi meets sci-fact!
Where your devilishly handsome
and witty (not to mention humble) host, Karl Byrne takes a look at
the real science behind science fiction, from time travel and
alternate universes, to evil clones and superheroes.
Episode 1
To start the ball rolling, and in honour of the world surviving the
Large Hadron Collider (aka "big scary black hole machine") being
turned on, in this episode Karl talks about blackholes: what they
are, where they come from and the reality behind what we've seen on
TV and in the movies. He also reviews some of his favourite sci-fi
books, TV shows and movie's that involve black holes and as an
added tells you how the sun is going to die.
If you have any questions or comments about the show or any
suggestions about what you'd like to hear in future episodes, you
can contact karl here on the forum's (where he's known as
Carlitobaby) or alternatively email him at sciencefriction@ymail.com.
So have a listen and then come along and watch him make a fool of
himself at the Birmingham comic convention on the 3rd
October!
